OH YEAH! NTUC is having a Nutella offer (: So of course, I had to get another jar of Nutella, and of course, its more worth it if I get the larger jar…

So, if you are like me, and you have loads of Nutella now, why not try out some of these yummy recipes!

1. Grilled Nutella & Marshmallow Sandwich

If you ever feel like having a very campfire-ish snack for breakfast, why not try this! Get 2 slices of bread, slather on some Nutella, plop some mini marshmallows, and pop it into the oven. DO NOT put this into your toaster, unless you want to spend the next 2 days cleaning your toaster.

Try the Nutella & banana combination too for a “healthier” choice

Yummy factor: 4/5
Difficulty level: If you know how to use the butter knife, and you know which switch to turn on for the oven, then this recipe is not a problem for you.

2. Nutella & Bacon Stuffed French Toast

Now, when I saw this recipe. My heart stopped. I could feel the calories settling on my thickening waistline. But, it was so worth it. One slice is all you need. Any more, it will feel too greasy and heavy.

Yummy factor: 5/5 (but drops to 2/5 after my second slice)
Difficulty level: Slightly difficult. This is good for the calm and slightly experienced cook – someone who is confident with the non-stick pan and the stove.

3. Nutella Puffs

This is a great recipe for those who wants to make something quick and fuss free for dessert! I tweaked the recipe slightly though and omitted the pumpkin because I really am not too fond of it. I also used some left over frozen puff pastry sheets that I got from Phoon Huat.

Be careful when you bite into these lovelies! The Nutella will ooze out, so take care not to scald your tongue.

Yummy factor: 3.5/5
Difficulty level: If you know how to use the butter knife, and you know which switch to turn on for the oven, then this recipe is not a problem for you. And if you can get those frozen puff pastry sheets, that’s like half your job done!

4. Nutella Truffles

A more sophisticated way of savouring spoonfuls of Nutella. You basically need 4 ingredients only: heavy cream, Nutella, dark couverture chocolate (you can get this from Phoon Huat) and toasted hazelnuts for garnishing!

Get the recipe!

Yummy factor: 5/5
Difficulty level: Tough if you have clumsy hands like me. Super easy peasy if you have nifty fingers that can roll truffles, and coat them in that luscious chocolate without getting chocolate all over your hands, shirt, table and fridge door.

5. Nutella Cheesecake Dip

This is liquid cheesecake gold! You can dip fruits, crackers, potato chips or even your fingers in it. The possibilities are endless!

Yummy factor: 3.5/5

Difficulty level: You can try doing this with a spoon and a lot of elbow grease if you do not have an electric whisk. Just make sure to let the cream cheese come to room temperature so that it’s easier to mix it up with the Nutella.

That’s it peeps! I’m going to go grab a spoon now for some straight-out-of-the-jar Nutella goodness!

Love,

Rong
